It is very important for people to know about things they are putting in their bodies (except for pizza, you eat it, no questions asked!). So here we are to tell you about all the ingredients in our hair loss recovery powerhouses. Starting with our Hair Loss Hero - Prana Renew Nasal Drops.
But first, a lot of our customers have asked us - No one has ever heard of nasal drops in a “How to Stop Hair Fall” conversation. At Tatva we go above and beyond to get the best hair loss treatment and therefore our products are not the usual. Once you read through this blog, you’ll see why we have it in the box and what magic herbs go into it.
Now let’s get into this. (don’t worry we’ll keep it short)
Prana Renew Nasal Drops - what is it?
According to Ayurveda the best route to treat any ailment is one closest to the affected part of the body. Therefore nasal drops can work wonders instead of a tablet. This is Tatva’s secret weapon to fight hair loss. It is made from Pure Cow’s Ghee and Yashtimadhu.
Yashti - what?
Yashtimadhu, also known as Licorice (not the candy, the herb). Its botanical name is Glycyrrhiza glabra. It is known to be one of the most potent and widely used herbs in Ayurveda. While most people know it only as a flavoring herb it actually has numerous proven health benefits. Especially for hair loss. Due to this, it has been used in ethnic medicine around the world from China to Egypt for centuries.
What are its benefits for Hair Fall?
This time tested herb is packed with health benefits, here are a few (cause, we want to keep it short) - anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-bacterial, antiseptic, decongestant and expectorant. Therefore, yashtimadhu is good for your hair, skin and overall health. But now coming to hair fall. It is also packed with flavonoids and phytoestrogens that help improve scalp and hair health.
Elaborate please (you asked for it)
Hair experts say, an increase in Pitta and Vata doshas results in hair loss. Yashtimadhu has proven effective in balancing both these. It also helps soothe scalp irritation, infections, and dandruff. While its minty quality stimulates hair growth (It’s like the Ayushman Khurana of herbs, it can do anything!). In fact, recent studies prove that the hydro-alcoholic extract of yashtimadhu showed excellent hair regrowth promoting activity. When compared to the standard drug used (Minoxidil 2%) showed that, 2% concentration of licorice extract showed better hair growth stimulatory activity than 2% Minoxidil (SHOCKER, right?) And that it can be safely used in herbal formulations in the treatment of various types of Alopecia.
Where does it come from?
The licorice roots are sourced straight from the Himalayan Mountains. It then goes to a facility where it is sun-dried and then powdered. This powdered form is combined with Pure Cow’s Ghee (don’t need to explain its benefits) which then goes into your box.
How do you use it?
Tilt your head and pour the drop in your nostrils (based on the dosage in your prescription). There might be a funny taste in your throat after, but that’s alright cause - no pain no gain! If you want to get rid of it just gargle with lukewarm water.
Does it have any other benefits than stopping hair fall?
Of course! We told you this is a superhero herb. It also helps alleviate stress and promotes sleep. And we know that between deadlines, Netflix and functioning as an adult. We need both of those things. Find out more about the health benefits of being on the Tatva HairLoss Treatment here.
