Champi - This word might invoke different emotions for each of us. For some, it takes us back to the magical hands of a dear family member taking all our stress away with a soulful massage before bed (FYI, your hairstylist qualifies as a family member). For others, it could be a forced undertaking with a frowny face as their mother or grandmother raved about the importance of the tradition of oiling your hair and its many benefits. Sometimes, just before you were heading out to school. Oh, the dread! Of being called “champak” and “chomu” as the smell of oil and the mean comments of your school mates encompassed you. No wonder most of us grow up to hate oiling our hair. But we are here to tell you something - IT REALLY WORKS WHEN IT IS DONE RIGHT!
Oil is a very important part of Tatva’s hair loss treatment but as with everything else, we do things a little differently around here. First of all, our oil is not a hair oil it is a scalp oil. And it is meant for exactly what the name suggests. Only for your scalp. Second and most importantly, it is customized. Just like in ice-cream flavors, in scalp oil too - one for all is not a solution (imagine living in a world which only had vanilla ice-cream, hey if you like it that’s on you!) And just so you are not stuck with something not meant for you. We customize your scalp oil.
How do we do it? Based on the assessment of your scalp and hair health from the photos and information you’ve given us. But that’s not it, there is also a bonus point - We also take into account any hair goals you might have (volume, softness, Disney princess/prince-like hair) and based on that create the perfect formula for your scalp. However, there are a few base things that are present in every single bottle of Tatva Hair Fall. These ingredients have been handpicked as a result of extensive research by our medical team and are each beneficial in stopping hair loss, reducing dandruff and promoting hair regrowth, according to Ayurveda.
Here are the magic ingredients:
Motiarosha Oil (we know it is a weird name):
According to Ayurveda it helps stimulate heat in the scalp that helps reduce dryness. This property along with its antifungal and antiseptic ability makes it useful in getting rid of dandruff. Not only that, but it also stimulates the dormant hair follicles and increases circulation to the scalp and helps in hair regrowth. Regular use of this oil makes your hair lustrous and soft (just like the shampoo commercials, too bad they don’t work). And since you always keep asking us - it also prevents premature greying of hair (meanwhile, if you have them flaunt them, after all, it’s a sign of worldly wisdom).
ORPL Oil (no, its not a fuel brand):
It stimulates dormant hair follicles by increasing blood circulation to the scalp. Basically, it is a total hair loss wonder-oil!
It is extracted from the kernel of the wheat grain. It's packed full of vitamin E, B6, folic acid, magnesium, potassium, and phosphorus (a chemistry class of its own). With regular use, it alleviates inflammation and provides moisture to your scalp. Bonus - it also helps reduce dandruff.
When applied in the scalp it revives hair bulbs and promotes hair growth. Bergamot's natural stimulants direct blood flow to the scalp, ensuring proper delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the hair follicles. (Like Air Traffic Control for blood and oxygen)
Research has shown that Ylang Ylang Essential Oil (pronounced lang-lang) is an effective natural treatment to reduce hair fall caused by stress and alopecia. When it is massaged into the hair follicles, it stimulates hair growth. It is a natural way to treat thinning hair. Not only that it also helps alleviate stress(who doesn’t need that?).
Application of camphor oil on the hair makes it soft and boosts hair growth. It also stimulates hair regrowth.
Base Oil (Coconut Oil):
The OG Hair Oil, isn’t it? Well, that’s for a reason - Ayurveda suggests that it literally is the most nourishing hair oil. It also has cooling properties that help reduce scalp dryness caused by pitta dosha. But most importantly - it balances the heat properties of other oils.
The rest of the essential oils that go in the mix range from a weird kadi-patta (curry leaves) oil to an exotic hibiscus oil. These oils are selected on the basis of your hair and scalp health. Not only that if you tell us what your hair goals are, but we also make sure to put a little something in the oil that will help you achieve the same!
